Relaxation Eercise
I am posting this post literally after I did the exercise. I feel somewhat disoriented, but in a good way. I am new to relaxation techniques, and I am glad that I did this particular one. It opened up a whole new world of relaxation to me. I think this will help me to sleep at night since I have always had a hard time clearing my mind and falling asleep. I find it absolutely amazing that a single suggestion/thought can redirect a person's blood flow! I could actually feel it working like the speaker said I would. I was a little skeptical at first, but now, not at all. I feel more clear-minded, not so worried, and less stressed out. I hope everyone had a good reaction to this exercise as well!

I did not really like meditation and relaxation exercises until I tried those that were guided. It is so much easier to listen to a narrator then trying to do the exercises/meditation on your own. I would love to find a CD with a bunch of different exercises for relaxation. I looked at the health food store but they did not have anything that was guided.
ReplyDeleteI have always liked using meditation and breathing exercises to help me stressful situations and even when I just feel I need to relax. It is a wonderful way to really get in touch with your whole self.
DeleteSo glad you enjoyed it and were able to relax. I also tend to use these types of exercises in the evenings as well as I am trying to wind down to get to sleep, which is very hard for me to do especially after a particularly stressful day.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteThe audio and my experience were remarkable. I was very relaxed once I finished but yet, energized! The calming of the narrator, the music in the background with steps taken to reach a very relaxed state was slow as was the breathing technique. All the techniques were effective and of course the power of suggestion most powerful!
Once finished with the audio I realized “time is of the essence” this short audio, twenty minutes was all that it took to find total relaxation. This in its self is very powerful. Taking twenty to thirty minutes a day off from mind clutter in its self could awaken many of our inner senses and in return keep disease and illness at bay. Techniques such as this would be self-cultivated and self-generated evolutionary growth in total mind, body and spirit wellness and well worth the time.

Sandi,
Delete"Time is of the essence." SO TRUE! :) I felt like I had wasted so much of my life worrying and trying to relax after I did this exercise. It is so nice to finally be able to relax. I am HAPPY that you had a good experience as well.
I am glad you enjoyed it. I was a little sceptical as well, but not disappointed. I tried to stand up right after my experience and got a little light headed. Next time I will wait a minute to get my barrings straight. It was really amazing to experience the power of suggestion. It seems so simple. I am a newbie to all of this so imagine how much better it will get after practice. Good luck!
